Moreover, pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before adding Moringa leaves or products into their diets as it may result to be harmful in some cases. Moringa can have a direct effect on blood that may interfere with the thinning medication, so it is recommended that people on blood thinners avoid consuming it. 

Additionally, individuals taking thyroid, blood pressure, and diabetes medications should avoid taking Moringa simultaneously. The reason is straightforward, it increases thyroid function, and taking it along with medication with the same effects might give too much hike to thyroid levels. And it reduces blood pressure and blood sugar levels so they might drop too low. 


At the end of the dry season (November-December), Moringa leaves are dried and powdered after they have turned a brownish color. This is done to fully mature the leaves and sun dry them for enhanced benefits. Fresh Moringa leaves, however, are also potent and one can form them into chapatis, curries, or herbal teas.

Its plantation is very easy, requires minimum maintenance, and is drought resistant. And apart from using leaves, you can prepare delicious sambhar from the yielded drumsticks.
